Monster Madness: Grave Danger

Pros

• Four player co-op
• New modes and costumes
• Uses a Geometry Wars-style control scheme

Cons

• Repetitive combat
• Environments are clumsy to get through
• Story segments do nothing to inspire

Bottom Line

An improvement, but still a very slight game.

Reviews

"It wasn't so long ago that I played the first Monster Madness, yet I have absolutely no memory of it. Turning to the PS3 version, I can see why. It's improved, but I still want to forget it. The game is easier to control now thanks to the addition of a Geometry Wars-style two stick approach, but the combat is just boring, repetitive, unexciting. When that core is so weak, what does it matter that there are new modes? I'd be disappointed if I downloaded this cheap off of PSN, never mind paid full retail price for it."
