"At first I didn't get the big deal of Braid. A platformer that lets you undo mistakes with a rewind button. Nice, but so what? Well, that's the unfair impression you get if you only play five minutes. Sit down and keep playing, and you'll find a complex and ingenious series of puzzles that juggle time in a way not seen since Blinx (but done better). You'll wander back and forth wondering just what the hell you're supposed to do sometimes, but that makes finally working it out all the sweeter. The visuals almost feel like impressionist paintings, leading to some colourful backgrounds. The story even hooked me, and I don't think that's happened in a platformer since Oddworld. This is a thinking person's platformer, and it's beautifully done."
