"Like Tetris, Puzzle Bobble is one of those seeming can't miss concepts; even if the game is a mediocre clone of Puzzle Bobble, it should still be pretty good. Unfortunately, Pearl Diversion crosses a line. The game's bubble generation logic is too random, so the difficulty becomes equally random, and it's possible to lose without making mistakes. For example, when the last two bubbles you have to eliminate are a different colour, the game often just plain won't generate the bubbles you need to complete the puzzle. Yes, I know you can switch colours by right-clicking. Sometimes it's not enough. Bland, static visuals, and the capper: you can't really save your progress. Yes, you can quit and save your current game, but after you lose all of your lives (very easy to do) that's it. Try Boogie Bunnies on Xbox Live instead."
