Bottom Line Works as a nice light basketball game... if you can overlook a few flaws.

"NBA 09: The Inside makes a nice alternative to EA Sports' NBA Live series, taking a more arcadish approach. For those who want something simpler and more direct, it's a good choice. I am particularly found of the shooting, which has you trying to hit a sweet spot of the gauge in order to sink the shot. Other controls unfortunately aren't quite as responsive. There are lots of modes, including the cool "The Life" mode, a series of challenges that take you through a career, but they aren't as deep as the modes of NBA Live. It's a game for people who want something less complicated."
