MLB Stickball

Pros

• Wacky playing fields
• Card collecting aspect is interesting

Cons

• Very hard to track pitches when batting
• Batting meter is too hard to use
• AI is without mercy
• Ugly avatar
• Hardly any audio, and what is present is cheapo

Bottom Line

Strikes out and then trips over its shoelaces when sulking back to the dugout.

Reviews

"Cutesy baseball can work. There's Wii Sports Baseball and Backyard Baseball for starters. MLB Stickball has all the right ideas: creative fields with even more creative rules such as hitting a parked equals a double. If done right, this should be an awesome kiddy version of baseball. There's even a Topps trading card aspect. Sadly, even steely-eyed veterans will have trouble handling this game. Pitching is atrocious, with a hard-to-time meter preventing you from throwing your best. The ball is extremely hard to track during batting, unless you're the AI. It won't give an inch, hammering hit after hit and never seeming to get fooled by your trick pitches. The multiplayer aspect might make up for some of this, but not with the awkward batting and pitching. Stick with Backyard Baseball."
